URBANEST Student Accommodation

Construction of a 354-room student accommodation over 17 floors.to the very tight program (10 months for construction) necessitated innovations such as pod bathrooms, prefabricated façade systems and a post-tensioned structure. To achieve this, a fast-tracked procurement program which identified and closely managed long lead-time items, was implemented at contract execution.

Potts Point (Macleay St, Potts Point NSW)

Description:

  • Refurbishment of the old Post Office and Telstra Exchange.
  • This included its conversion into commercial offices (41), retail spaces (6) and a basement for car parking. Challenges overcome included a staged demolition to enable most of the existing steel structure to be retained.
  • Project featured the installation of new slabs in between existing floors, basement excavation around existing foundations, and the incorporation of a car hoist to access the newly created basement car park
